This is a call for Global Four Directions Prayer for Peace, a 24 hour effort
to end the war and global violence. We are asking all the leaders and
peacemakers to join us in this effort. The start date will be 12 noon
December 31, starting in the Eastern time zones, and continuing through
On September 11, 2001, as a result of the tragedy, we were all one people
and it is time for us to come back together with one heart, one mind, one
prayer, one intention to create a more peaceful world for the generations to
come and all our relations.
This activation comes as a request from some of the Four Directions Elders
and Medicine People as communicated to Grace Smith Yellow Hammer. We are
requesting spiritual leaders all over the globe to call their people
together in their sacred spaces so that all people, all colors, all
directions are included in this effort.
With all the devastation of war and escalation of terror and environmental
harm on the planet, it is obvious why we need to come together at this time.
For those of you who will understand this, there was recently a quarter moon
in the morning with two stars within the crescent. This along with the
recent Venus alignment, is a potent call for an activation because it
signifies both danger and opportunity.
We hope you will be inspired to join us in this call. We will have a web
site in place soon for more information.
If you would like to cosponsor an event please contact us by email.
May peace prevail on Earth,
Grace Smith Yellow Hammer , Dineh
Grace Smith Yellowhammer is a Grandmother of the Dineh (Navajo) Nation. As
befits a person of her modesty and stature in the international indigenous
community, she has no curriculum vitae. For many years she has tirelessly
represented the concerns of both the traditional Navajo and Hopi elders, and
has been especially active in presenting the plight of the elders and
families from the joint land use area who have been facing forced
relocation. Grace has travelled extensively, acting as a voice for her
people. She has been a co-chair of the Geneva Sub-Commission on the Rights
of Indigenous Peoples. She has spoken at the United Nations at The Cry of
the Earth: The Legacy of the First Nations, and was a delegate for the
inauguration of the Year of the World's Indigenous Peoples. She has also
shared her wisdom at meetings at The White House, the Interior Department,
the Pentagon, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. There are few people
involved with indigenous rights who do not know of her work and many who
have benefited by her support. Grace speaks simply from her heart, and has a
way of connecting deeply with our humanity no matter what color or ethnic
group we represent, and many wisdomkeepers and world leaders continue to
seek her wisdom.
